We request that you email images of your hair and your inspiration pix (1-3) to absolutefranchiz@gmail.com. Your stylist, Franny Stanton will provide an evaluation of your hair and a price estimate. You will have the opportunity to discuss the process required to achieve your desired look prior to your allotted appointment time.
*PLEASE NOTE: Not all hair color images can be duplicated exactly. Many online images are filtered and therefore not realistic. Your wave pattern, density, texture, length, level of resistance, previous hair color history and other factors can affect how color or bleach processes in your hair, and you will not know how some of those factors come into play until you actually begin the color process.
BASIC COLOR: ( AKA ROOT TOUCH UP & GLAZING )
SINGLE PROCESS COLOR ($40) is typical for root touch up color in your natural color, typically to cover grey, where your re-growth is visible up to 1/2 “. ( 4-8 weeks of regrowth ). For root color beyond 1/2”, (8-12+ weeks of regrowth) fees will be increased accordingly. Extra Bowl Fees may be added if your hair required additional color mixing ($25)
A Glazing (coloring/refreshing the length of the hair shaft to the ends) is $25 per formula, and will increase based on your length, density and amount of product used. Glazing is a semi-permanent color which causes no damage to your hair, and will add color richness, tonal quality, shine & manageability. Semi-permanent color lasts about 8-10 shampoos and should be applied to hair between root color appointments, or every 3-6 weeks. Extra Bowl Fee ($25)
Glazing (AKA Toning) is required after any bleaching service to achieve appropriate tonal quality. Bleach alone does not typically achieve the desired end result by itself. Bleach is used to remove color from your hair, both natural color (as in Highlighting, Balayage or Ombre) or previously applied color when used as a decolorizer. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND adding OLAPLEX ($25) to all hair coloring services to maintain
the integrity of your hair. OLAPLEX is like insurance for your hair: it dramatically reduces breakage, repairs disulfide bonds and helps make your color last longer.
What is and how much is Balayage?
Balayage is a French style of free hand “painting” technique where your stylist will apply color or bleach to larger sections of hair without (sometimes with) using foils. Balayage gives the look of naturally “sun lightened” hair. Your natural color will remain at the roots, so your hair will have darker roots and lighter ends. Balayage can grow out naturally and still look good, if your not ready to commit to Highlighting retouches every 6 - 12 weeks. Balayage is usually in the range of $120-$300+, based on your hairs condition, color history, length, density and texture and typically takes longer to perform than typical foil highlights.
What are Babylights?
Babylights are extremely popular due to social media and celebrities who love them! Babylights refers to a subtle coloring technique where hair is sectioned into very fine strands in such a way that the highlites perfectly blend all over with your natural hair color. The results is an all over lighter look with a very natural root line, like that of a baby’s hair after a day out in the sun! Especially recommended for fine hair clients.
Babylights take a much greater amount of time to apply and will range from $120-$350+, based on your density, texture and length. Babylights can grow out naturally if you choose to do so, as the strands are finely colored. Toner or glazing may be required following Babylights to achieve your desired result. Fee for Glaze or toning : $15+
OLAPLEX IS Recommended with all color services for optimal hair health.
What is OLAPLEX?
Olaplex is a three-step process which includes a patented active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage ensuring the strongest, shiniest and healthiest hair possible. Olaplex is added to hair services to restore compromised hair and provide the ultimate breakage insurance. Add on fee: $25
What are Lowlights?
Lowlights are a great way to add dimensional color to your hair by coloring certain areas darker than your natural hair color or to previously lifted color. Lowlights add depth and look good on all types of hair. Many times, lowlights are added to the lower layers of your hair so that blending of your lightened hair and natural color can be achieved. Lowlights will add dimension and accentuate movement in your hair. Many stylists will combine highlights and lowlights to create dimensional color and interest. $65-$85+
What is Transformational Color?
If you wish to totally transform your look, from light to dark, from dark to light, from brown to blue or blonde to Red, Multi-dimensional colors, and almost any creative color = Transformational color.
The very nature of Transformational color may and often does require: bleaching or lifting, filling or stabilizing, highlightes, lowlites, glazing, specialty techniques, and any combination of these!
Transformational color may also be referred to as Corrective Color in some cases, Transformational Color can and does take considerably more time, product, technique, care and even multiple visits to safely achieve desired results. $175-$350+
OLAPLEX INCLUDED IN TRANSFORMATIONAL COLOR
Will Color Damage my hair?
Hair Color is a chemical. In order to deposit color into your hair shaft, peroxide is used to deposit color. Hair may feel drier following lightening services and can become brittle and dry if not properly treated before, during and after your color service. Removing color from hair with bleach has the greatest potential for damage to your hair if not done professionally.
The products and styling tools you use on your hair daily will make a difference in the health of your hair. Heat tools (hairdryers, curling irons & flat irons) used too frequently can degrade the health of your hair. We suggest minimal use of high heat tools, and only with use of heat styling aides to protect from heat damage.
PLEASE BE HONEST AND PREPARED TO EXPLAIN PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR, PRODUCT AND TREATMENT HISTORY AT YOUR CONSULTATION TO ENSURE THE BEST RESULT.
Our top priority is to maintain the integrity of your hair and we will always recommend proper styling aides, moisture care, conditioner and treatments to protect your hair and hair investment! We DO RESERVE THE RIGHT to deny any color or service requests that we feel may create damage to your hair.
BRING YOUR INSPIRATION PICTURES
We request that you come prepared to your consultation with 1 - 3 images that you can share with your Stylist.
Your Stylist will provide you with an evaluation of your hair and discuss the ability and processes it will take to achieve your desired look. Please let your Stylist know if you need price break down in advance.
*PLEASE NOTE: Not all hair color images can be duplicated exactly. Many online images are filtered and therefore not realistic. Your wave pattern, density, texture, length, level of resistance, previous hair color history, natural shade and other factors affect how color or bleach processes in your hair, and you will not know how some of those factors come into play until you actually begin the color process.
How long will it take to achieve my desired color?
Application time for color ranges from 20-30 min (single root color or glaze) to 90 min (hilighting or foils). Processing time for color ranges from 5 minutes for a blonde toning to 1 hour for highly resistant hair. The range is wide and is determined by the specific technique, product, resistance and condition of your hair.
Basic Root Color retouch*: Application time: 30-45 min I Processing time: 45 min
Highlighting*: Application time: 45 - 90 min Processing time: 45-60min
Babylights*: Application time: 1-2 hours Processing time 45 min
*All times are average and approximate. Timing should be discussed with your Stylist if it is a concern. DO NOT try to “squeeze in” amazing color :)
Great hair takes time and we want you to have GREAT HAIR! Rushing the color process usually doesn’t end well,
SOME POPULAR COLORS/STYLES CAN TAKE SEVERAL VISITS TO ACHIEVE. MULTIPLE SESSIONS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BASED ON YOUR DESIRED LOOK AND WILL BE ASSOCIATED WITH APPROPRIATE FEES.
WHAT IF I HAVE LONG/THICK HAIR?
Long, Thick, Resistant & Grey hair may require additional product and time, therefore additional fees may be applied. Any such fees will be presented in advance of application. Additional Bowl Fee $25
How long will my color last?
Permanent Color stays in your hair until it grows out or is removed by de-colorizing it with lightener. Permanent colors can fade and may require freshening up after about 28 shampoos. Permanent color is primarily used on roots due to its permanency. (Darker colors typically last longer, Reds often fade faster due to their molecular structure)
Semi-Permanent Color lasts about 8-15 Shampoos. Semi-permanent colors are typically used for ends (non roots), for toning highlighted or de-colorized hair to achieve a specific tone, to “blur” grey or for any guest wanting to try a new color without a permanent commitment to it! Semi-Permanent colors should be refreshed every 4-6 weeks for continued tonal quality, shine and health of hair. Semi-permanent color coats the hair strands adding support and shine to the hair.
Bleaching (aka De-colorizing) hair removes color permanently. Toning ($25) is required following bleach to acquire most desired tones.
OTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTORS
Your hairs pre-color condition will contribute to the longevity of your color. Sun exposure will lighten or fade color, washing hair in hot water can also contribute to fading: warm water is recommended for regular shampooing. Heat styling can lighten color, so heat protection styling aides are essential. Improper and low quality hair products can strip color quickly, therefore we recommend only the finest quality products be used on your hair color investment, like Pureology, sulfate free shampoos, conditioners, and OLAPLEX.
Masks, deep conditioning treatments and OLAPLEX will all increase the longevity and health of your color.

Hair Help & Maintenance Tips
"Do you have the ᑭᗴᖇᖴᗴᑕT ᕼᗩIᖇ ᔕTᒪIᔕT for you?”Every time you try a hair stylist for the first time, you have the right to be anxious. You don’t know if the stylist has much experience with hair of the same texture as yours. It’s impossible to tell whether this new hairdresser is actually going to listen 👂🏼 to what you want done with your hair. You don’t know if you two will have the same energy, the same vision in hair colors or even the same definition of the term “just a trim.”✂️
✚✚✚➡️ Here are 6 ways to tell if you picked the “Right Hairstylist”...⤵️
1. Does the stylist offer a hair consultation and or ask you for current pictures of your hair and inspiration photos of your desired result?2. Does the stylist seem knowledgeable regarding your hair texture and new techniques?3. Does the stylist make unrealistic promises about lightening your hair or future hair goals?4. Does the stylist insist on cutting your curly ➿➰〰️hair while it’s wet?5. Does the stylist talk everything through with you, explain services, and answer all your questions?6. Does your intuition 🗯(your still small voice) tell you to leave/run🏃🏽♀️/not go through with service? If so, trust and recognize it’s ok to walk away & find a hairstylist that is the “Right Fit” for you and your desired hair goals.
BLONDING\GRAY AT HOME AFTERCARE:
1. Don’t shampoo hair for 1 week after color service.
2. Don’t use thermal tools for 1 week after salon visit.
3. Shampoo with cold water once a week only, shampoo only roots. Your hair is the most fragile when it is wet …Use caution & do not brush your hair harshly as it can break. Let your hair air dry or use blow dryer on cool/ low heat setting.
4. Use dry shampoo to skip washing hair.
5. Mask hair once a week to moisturize and rebuild bleached hair (All natural Miracle Hair Oil recommended).
6. Avoid using thermal tools but if you have to, set temperature to no more than 300F to 350F.
7. Use a heat protectant spray prior to heat styling.
8. Use purple color deposit shampoo if you see any yellow tone in your hair, and use silver color deposit shampoo when you feel the silver starts fading.
9. Redo silver/ toning at the salon every 4 to 5 weeks.
10. Use Olaplex number 3 to rebuild hair.
